There was a time in my life when I looked strong on the outside…

And felt disconnected on the inside.

I had done all the right things.
Built independence.
Built a career.
Built resilience.

I was capable. Self-sufficient. Strong.

But underneath that strength was something I hadn't yet learned how to do:

Let myself be truly seen.

For years, I moved through relationships from a place of guarded strength. I knew how to rely on myself. I knew how to keep moving forward. I knew how to protect myself.

What I didn't know was how to soften without feeling unsafe.

It took me 42 years to meet the partner I now call my husband.

Not because love wasn't there.

But because the walls I'd built to protect myself had also made it difficult to let love in.

And the shift didn't come from another mindset hack or another book about communication.

It came through my body.

I began learning what it actually meant to regulate my nervous system, to recognize the ways old experiences were still shaping my relationships, and to notice the places where I was bracing, protecting, or disconnecting.

I practiced vulnerability before it felt comfortable.

I learned to stay present with emotions instead of immediately trying to fix them.

I began choosing courage over control.

And slowly, I became more at home in myself.

Why I Do This Work

Because repeating the same patterns is exhausting.

Because sometimes you can understand exactly why you do something and still find yourself doing it.

Because the body can carry what the mind has already figured out.

And because we don't always need more information.

Sometimes we need a different experience.

I've spent more than 16 years immersed in healing and personal transformation — studying the human body, psychology, emotional intelligence, somatic practices, breathwork, and relational dynamics.

But my deepest credential is that I've lived the work.

I've rebuilt myself in midlife.

I've learned that softness doesn't require giving up your strength.

I've experienced what becomes possible when you stop organizing your life around protection and begin creating it from a deeper sense of alignment.

And I've seen how powerful it can be when people have the space to be witnessed without judgment and reconnect with what is true for them.

My Approach

My work brings together:

  • Somatic coaching

  • Nervous system education and regulation

  • Breathwork

  • Emotional processing

  • Values exploration

  • Relational awareness and frameworks, including The Couple's WHY

Because insight is powerful but insight alone doesn't always create change.

So in our work together, we don't just talk about change.

We practice it.

We notice what happens when you slow down.

We listen for what your body is communicating.

We explore the patterns that once protected you and begin creating more choice around how you respond.

The goal isn't to become a perfectly regulated person.

It's to have more capacity to be fully yourself.

Outside of Coaching

You’ll usually find me in the mountains of Colorado — leading women on hikes, chasing sunrises, or singing Beyoncé loudly enough to scare off bears.

Nature reminds me of what’s true:

Growth is seasonal.
Strength and softness coexist.
And nothing blooms by force.

I believe in making time for Sunday dinners.
Shared values.
Intentional partnership.
And building love as a practice, not a just a feeling.

Sundays breakfasts, coffee on the porch and cuddles on the couch.

If You’re Feeling Stuck

Maybe you're caught in patterns you understand but can't seem to change.

Maybe your relationship looks good on paper but feels disconnected underneath.

Maybe you've built success in so many areas of your life, yet something still feels missing.

Maybe you're ready to stop abandoning yourself in order to feel safe, loved, or accepted.

Whatever brought you here, you don't have to figure it all out at once.

You can start by becoming curious about what's happening beneath the surface.

By listening.

By feeling.

By coming back to yourself.

From bracing. Into being.
From survival. Into safety.
From control. Into trust.

That's the work.

And that's the doorway into Wildly Regulated.

Are you ready for change?

Our Vision

A world where people don't have to abandon themselves to feel safe, successful, or loved.

Where emotional awareness isn't something we learn only when we're struggling.

Where connection starts with the relationship we have with ourselves.

Where strength and softness aren't opposites.

Where people have the capacity to feel deeply, live honestly, love intentionally, and choose their lives from a place of connection rather than protection.

That's the world I want Wildly Regulated to help create.

Training & Experience

Angela Westlove is a Trauma-Informed Certified Somatic Coach, Breathwork Facilitator and founder of Wildly Regulated.

She holds a Bachelor of Science from San Francisco State University, where she studied the human body and served as a teaching assistant — an early reflection of her lifelong passion for learning, embodiment, and helping others grow.

For more than 17 years, Angela has worked 1:1 with clients as a massage therapist, developing a deep understanding of the body and the ways we communicate through sensation, movement, breath and touch.

That experience taught her something she continues to carry into all of her work: The body holds wisdom and we often override it when we're disconnected from ourselves.

Today, Angela brings together somatic coaching, breathwork, nervous system education and embodied practices near Denver, Colorado to help people reconnect with themselves and create more choice in how they live, relate and move through the world.

Why Wildly Regulated?  To me, it means having a nervous system that is resilient enough to fully experience life. To laugh until your stomach hurts. To grieve without becoming lost in it. To stand on a mountain summit in awe. To have hard conversations with honesty instead of fear. To love deeply. To set boundaries without guilt. To take risks that make you feel alive. A regulated nervous system doesn't make you smaller, it gives you the capacity to become more fully yourself. More adventurous. More connected. More courageous. More playful. More present. The 'wildly' is intentional. It's the part of us that longs to explore, create, dance, hike, cry, laugh, fall in love, and live with an open heart. The 'regulated' is what allows us to do all of that without constantly living in survival mode. When our nervous system feels safe, we don't have to numb ourselves, overthink every decision, or stay trapped in old protective patterns. We can respond instead of react. We can trust ourselves. We can connect more deeply with others and with the world around us. That is the work I love. Through breathwork, somatic coaching, sound healing, women's circles, nature experiences, and genuine human connection, my hope is to create spaces where people remember who they are beneath the stress, the expectations and the armor. Because I don't believe healing is about becoming someone new. I believe it's about regulating enough to become wildly, unapologetically, authentically you. Welcome to Wildly Regulated. I'm so happy you are here.
